How to capture the perfect jump shot EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

In this training, I'm going to show you the secret to getting a perfect jumping shot every single time using your iPhone. I'm going to be using my iPhone 11 Pro in this tutorial, but you can use older versions as well as long as they have the burst mode setting. Whether you're into capturing an epic jumping photo or not, the point is to create new, interesting, fun and playful content helps you share yourself and stop the mindless social media scrolling o your followers and prospective clients. Capture some new followers, and have better reach as you take and share more interesting photos!

Here's what you'll need to get the perfect jumping shot every single time:

1. A really good jumper. Somebody that can jump really high and look really awesome doing it.

2. A big open space. Somewhere where you can see the whole person's jump up in the air without anything distracting in the background. That's really going to
maximize how awesome the jump looks. Make sure that there's nothing on the ground in between you and the jumper.

3. Get really low with your camera so that their jump look looks extra high and extra awesome.

Go get your subject, your iPhone, find an open space and watch this video to learn how to capture epic jumping photos.

HERE'S THE SECRET! Use the burst mode on your iPhone when you're taking the photo. Burst mode is a way to take a bunch of photos really fast.

On iPhone X and older versions, you simply tap and hold the shutter button to engage burst mode. On the iPhone 11 Pro, you have to tap the shutter and - without releasing - quickly swipe to the left to engage burst mode. (This is demonstrated in the video!)

Step 3: To see the action photos, go to your photo library on your phone and scroll to the bottom where you can select "burst photos."

Tap on the photo set you want to view, click "select..." then scroll right and left to view all the photos you just captured using burst mode.

Tap anywhere on the photo, or photos that you want to keep, and then press "done" in the upper right corner.

This is going to allow you to save the photos as individual frames in your camera roll. You'll see they're no longer in the burst section of your camera, but you can now see them in your recent album.

Now you can capture the perfect jump every single time.

Isn't that so awesome?

I've been having so much fun creating these videos for you. I hope they're helping you not only take better photos, but think of different ways to tell a story or showcase your life or brand. That's what it's all about. Even 15 years into my professional photography career, I'm always thinking about how to best tell a story in a photo. That has everything to do with composition, perspective, lighting, timing, and angles.

Go out there and try it for yourself and send us what you capture!
